A lesbian couple in Michigan who had gone through a selection process to choose a pediatrician before their daughter was born apparently asked one question too few. (Yes, the baby is in the video and she is adorable.) When they brought their six-day-old to the doctor, another physician at the practice told them that she would be seeing the family, because after "praying on it," the first doctor felt that she couldn't care for the little girl.
Well, at least little Bay didn't need emergency treatment. My dad is a physician, so I wrote to him to ask if this might be considered a violation of the Hippocratic Oath. While I'm waiting to hear back from him, maybe some doctors here could share their opinions.
