Earlier this week on my lunch break I went to Wendy’s. They have a television there that’s apparently always showing CNN, and often there are a couple of guys sitting there who do not look like the kind of people I would want to have a political conversation with. But this particular day there was nobody there.
On CNN they were discussing Trump’s latest issues with women accusing him of making unwanted advances, when one of the regulars comes out of the restroom and starts complaining how he can’t believe these women are making a big deal about Trump kissing them. (No, he’s not the guy who prompted this blog entry.) I responded by asking about the women who say he groped them, and Trump’s own comments about groping women, and it started getting a bit heated. Although he seemed unfazed when I asked how he’d feel if I went over and kissed him.
Then along comes another guy, and he’s got it all figured out. “You know what I think? I’ll bet Trump set this whole thing up to test who’s loyal to him!”
Which again makes the point that Trump is less scary than the people who support him.
